Why this magazine exists?
We started The Literary Times because the writers we admired most weren’t being served by either extreme, the closed, credentialed literary establishment on one side, and the algorithm-chasing content mill on the other. There had to be a middle room: serious about craft, generous to newer voices, and unbothered by trends. What began as a small project has grown into a full magazine; essays, guides, paid opportunities for writers, and a community that actually reads each other’s work.
