Note: All current job openings are unpaid, volunteer-based positions and are ideal for students, emerging writers, editors, researchers, designers, and creatives seeking meaningful editorial experience and strong portfolio development.
Nature of Positions
- All roles are voluntary and unpaid.
- Some positions are project-based (short-term, task-specific).
- Other positions require a minimum commitment of 4–6 months.
- All available roles, role descriptions, and time commitments are listed in the Google Application Form.
- Prior experience is appreciated but not mandatory. What matters most is clarity of thought, originality, and commitment.
- These roles are remote and open to applicants worldwide.
Basic Requirements
While requirements vary by role, most positions require:
- Strong written communication skills
- A basic understanding of literary, cultural, or digital media spaces
- Willingness to revise, learn, and receive editorial feedback
- Ability to commit consistent time weekly (for long-term roles)
- Professional conduct and respect for editorial guidelines
Specific role-based requirements are detailed in the application form.
Portfolio Requirements
A portfolio is mandatory for all applicants. Your portfolio may include:
- Published or unpublished writing samples if you are applying for Staff Writer Positions (essays, articles, poetry, fiction, reviews)
- Editorial work if you are applying for Editorial or Submission Reader position (proofreading samples, edited documents, annotations)
- Design or visual work if you are applying for Artist/Illustrator or Designer role
- Research-based writing or academic work (where relevant)
- Links to blogs, Medium pages, Google Drive folders, or PDFs if any
Portfolio guidelines:
- Submit 2–5 of your best and most relevant samples
- Quality matters more than quantity
- Clearly label your work and your role in each piece
- Ensure all links are accessible
If your work is unpublished, that is completely acceptable.

Many of our contributors go on to publish independently, pursue higher studies, or work with established media platforms.

- Fully remote and flexible, but deadline-driven
- Clear communication and accountability are expected
- Respect for diversity of voices, perspectives, and identities
- Zero tolerance for plagiarism or unethical conduct

- Shortlisted applicants may be contacted for a follow-up or trial task (usually not necessary)
